It's Up!
My new "homepage". Yay!!
geekspace.awardspace.com
"Why??", one may ask.
Well, to start off, I needed a place where I can post my cartoons and puzzles and flash-games and stuff. And, unfortunately, the level of customization I desired was not being provided by blogger.com et al. So decided to come up with a site designed by me, from scratch.
Secondly, I wanted a "test-bench" where I can try out my PHP/MySQL/Perl-CGI/CSS/XML/Flash skills and other web design and web programming fundaes, as well as some out-of-this-world geeky experiments. Who knows, this might just be the next Google in the making..
And, of course, I wanted a space I could call my own. Like my home on the web. And wanted it to be free (for the time being) and secure, with a decent disk-space, good bandwidth and no irritating 3rd party ads.
Awardspace came up with the perfect solution. Hats off to them!
Nothing much's up as of now. But things are gonna come up soon. Keep watching.
P.S.: Oh yeah, by the way, a special thanks to Kumar Appaiah, without whose inspiration this work would never have been possible in the first place. Funny thing is, he himself doesn't know much about it either! More on that story later. Have a nice day.
