Kolkata Collage - 1
Nothing, absolutely nothing, beats ghar ka khana. The chingri machher malaikarai, the kasha mangsho, the luchi-chholar dal-alur dom combo, the alu-posto, the parshe machher jhaal, the rui maacher kalia - why even the simple gheet-bhaat-alubhaate makes me wonder if there is really anything in this world that's better than a lunch cooked by my mom (the chingri is my dad's speciality, however)...

The average hotness of Kolkata chicks is wayyyyyyy more than that of Chennai, and though it is way below that of Bangalore or Mumbai, what makes Kolkata special is that the mean deviation is pretty large here too, as a result of which you can see some really insanely hot chicks (9.5 pluses) on the streets here, who really stand apart in a sea of sevens and sixes, which really make spotting them and drooling over them that much easier, whereas in Bangalore, it's like if you've seen an 8, you've seen them all. Mumbai is in a different league altogether, so no comparisons please.

I love travelling in the metro. I love it so much that I almost always take it to go to College Street, which is rather stupid 'cause there are n direct bus-es to College Street from my place (by which you can reach Boipara directly in some 20 odd minutes), whereas a trip by metro takes twice as much time (10 mins walk to Netaji Bhavan, on an avg 5 mins wait for the metro, 10 mins for the metro to reach MG Road and 15 more minutes to walk from the station to Boipara). But I love the walks too. The roads are filled with so many memories. And the metro..ahh..it's always a pleasure...
*********************************************
And yeah, I'm missing Ivo. I'm missing broadband. I'm missing my 'loaded' hard-disks. I'm missing DC++. I'm missing the fart sessions with my wingies. I'm missing the do-whatever-you-want-whenever-you-want kinda lifestyle I tend to pursue back at 329 ganga. I'm missing my guitars. Life's kinda dumb without music.
But hey, I'm not complaining. Kolkata Rocks!
More later.

although buses are nicer than the metro in winter. you get to feel the city buzz past. and the sharpness of the breeze too.
